About the role

  • Develop and execute forward-thinking automation concepts tailored to complex product families in child mobility and furniture
  • Ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets, delivering high-impact results in dynamic production environments
  • Lead end-to-end automation projects: ROI analysis, benefit evaluation, validation, testing, and implementation at supplier sites
  • Design and optimize control systems and automated processes to minimize costs and prevent production bottlenecks
  • Create comprehensive material and equipment lists, perform cost analysis, and support production budgeting
  • Establish monitoring systems to track productivity and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
  • Provide strategic guidance on manufacturing technology, acting as a key advisor for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Champion modern production principles such as KVP, 5S, Industry 4.0, and support process standardization and harmonization
  • Support project planning and commissioning activities directly on-site at supplier facilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the company’s broader production strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong level of professional experience in industrial/production environments with a focus on process engineering and automation
  • Proven knowledge of automation technologies, production systems, and continuous improvement frameworks
  • Experience with P-FMEA, REFA, Six Sigma, and digital manufacturing concepts (Industry 4.0)
  • Familiarity with mechatronics, simulation software, and metal processing technologies is a strong advantage
  • Proficient in CAD tools (ProE Creo or comparable) and confident in using MS Office (Excel, Teams, Office Suite)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills are an advantage but not required
  • Willingness to travel internationally as part of project and supplier engagement.
