About the role
- Evaluate and select suppliers to meet product, quality, cost, and delivery objectives
- Manage overall apparel production while ensuring adherence to brand and technical standards
- Ensure products are manufactured by the most suitable supplier based on timing, cost, and quality
- Monitor supplier performance, implement corrective actions, and develop long-term, trust-based partnerships
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for apparel and FMCG categories to optimize cost, quality, and lead times
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and service levels to achieve cost efficiency while preserving product integrity
- Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other relevant teams to align sourcing decisions with business requirements
- Monitor market trends, material innovations, and supply chain risks to support strategic decision-making
- Act as the interface between internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring transparency and proactive problem-solving so that every product is "right the first time"
- Work with quality, CSR, and compliance teams to ensure suppliers adhere to ethical, environmental, and social standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management for apparel, ideally within the apparel, sports goods, or FMCG sectors
- Proven experience managing supplier networks and apparel production across multiple regions
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing techniques, material sourcing, and production processes
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration in dynamic, global organizations
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and supply chain systems is an advantage
- Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
