About the role
- Manage and automate Kubernetes infrastructures with a focus on security aspects within a DevSecOps environment
- Take responsibility for administering and continuously optimizing Cloudflare-based protection solutions to secure web and API applications
- Integrate, operate and maintain systems for security monitoring and automated incident response (SIEM/SOAR)
- Develop and maintain automation playbooks and scripts (Ansible) to efficiently manage security-relevant system configurations
- Own all Linux-related security topics, including system hardening, compliance adherence and conducting audits
- Create and maintain scripts in Bash and Python to automate recurring tasks, monitoring and reporting
- Deploy, configure and operate security solutions such as Microsoft Defender and Trend Micro for Linux-based systems
- Collaborate with other departments to carry out security reviews and take active measures during incidents
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT Security or a comparable qualification
- Strong programming skills in Python and Bash
- Deep expertise in DevOps, particularly with Kubernetes and Ansible
- Extensive hands-on experience with Linux systems (e.g., CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu)
- Proven experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) solutions, such as Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic SIEM or Splunk
- Practical experience with Cloudflare and a solid understanding of contemporary web application security concepts
- Familiarity with security solutions such as Trend Micro and/or Defender for Linux
- Strong collaboration skills, initiative and a structured working style
- Confident and persuasive communicator in both German and English when liaising with business units, technical teams and management
