About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own features end to end, from the data model through the API to the user interface
Design and review the database side of features, including schema changes, migrations, queries, and access control
Build backend services in TypeScript on Node.js and Express
Build frontend features with React, Vite, MUI/Emotion, Redux, and React Query
Set technical direction and document design reasoning
Review other people's code
Support mid-level engineers on the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least five years building production web applications in TypeScript, covering both frontend and backend
Solid PostgreSQL experience
Ability to read a query plan
Ability to write production-safe migrations for customer databases
Ability to reason about permissions
Tests what they build and can explain how they know a change is correct
Debugs across layers
Raises risks early
Fluent English, written and spoken
