About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Post job advertisements on job boards and social media platforms
  • Screen resumes and job applications
  • Assist with background and reference checks
  • Prepare job offer letters and support recruitment events
  • Manage preboarding and conduct new employee orientation
  • Handle new-hire paperwork, workstation setup, computer logins, and email addresses
  • Schedule policy meetings and provide employee handbooks
  • Serve as the primary contact for new employee inquiries
  • Maintain employee records and organize employment and tax information
  • Assist with exit interviews and termination documentation
  • Manage compensation and benefits documentation
  • Process payroll tasks, including sick leave and PTO
  • Resolve payroll errors and assist with payroll and benefits reconciliations, audits, and payment approvals
  • Process compliance service requests and maintain compliance records and tracking tools
  • Escalate complex compliance issues to Compliance Specialists
  • Support performance improvement plans, reassignments, suspensions, resignations, retirements, and employee exits
  • Send mandatory-retirement separation notices and provide departing employees with documentation
  • Process final or severance payments and handle post-separation queries
  • Handle employee grievances, complaints, and incident reports
  • Collaborate with Legal to prepare and deliver Notices to Explain
  • Arrange administrative hearings and document meeting minutes
  • Prepare and deliver decision notices and maintain offense records

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 year of proven recruiting or HR internship/work experience
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and hiring regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with an ATS, including Workable and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Notion and Slack experience is a plus
  • Bilingual Mandarin required
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Cary, North Carolina
