About the role
- Build and deploy analytical models to help the PBM business meet client and pharmacy guarantees
- Develop forecasting and optimization models to optimize drug level pricing tied to 95M Americans
- Prepare modeling datasets, perform feature engineering, and work with data engineering to assess data completeness and quality
- Implement mathematical models using Gurobi for LP, MIP and other optimization problem types
- Apply modern machine learning techniques for predictive classification and regression problems
- Communicate model outcomes and present insights to technical and non-technical business audiences, project teams, and senior leaders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy ML models to production and develop CI/CD pipelines
- Create detailed reports of modeling results for different stakeholders and assist in performance reporting and tracking
Requirements
- Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or PhD with fellowship experience
- Extracting actionable insights from the analysis and interpreting outcomes of complex models to present to business audiences including technical, non-technical, and senior leaders
- Preparing data for analysis, working with data engineering team to create modeling dataset, assess completeness and quality of data, and perform feature engineering
- Communicating effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members, and senior management
- 3+ years of experience with Gurobi Optimization with a proven ability to develop and implement mathematical models using Gurobi for various optimization problem types (e.g., LP, MIP)
- Demonstrated understanding of various optimization modeling including linear and non-linear optimization
- 2 or more years of experience using AI coding platforms including Copilot, Cursor AI
- Data preparation tools, data warehousing, and ETL
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources
- Working with data and have a strong understanding of analytics and how it is leveraged within the healthcare/retail industry
- 2+ years of experience applying modern machine learning techniques to build predictive models for both classification and regression problems
- 2+ years in a client-facing role with experience creating detailed reports of modeling results for different stakeholders
- 2+ years’ experience with general linear models including regression techniques and optimization models
- 3 or more years of experience in Python and SQL
- 3 or more years of experience with GCP cloud computing software including Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud storage, Big Query, Vertex AI, and cloud load balancing
- Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling
- Preferred: Experience in Tableau development, including Tableau Desktop and Server
- Preferred: Experience with statistical measurements including experimental design, test and control selection, performance reporting and tracking
- Preferred: Experience in deploying ML models to production and developing CI/CD pipelines
- Preferred: Strong ability to learn quickly, work independently or as part of a team, and communicate technical concepts to business partners
