About the role

  • Handle inbound customer service inquiries through phone, internet or written correspondence
  • Engage, consult and educate members on Aetna plans and tools
  • Document and track contacts with members, providers and plan sponsors
  • Answer questions regarding member rights and responsibilities
  • Assist with complaints, grievances and appeals
  • Provide education to providers on self-service options
  • Process claim referrals and manage incoming requests

Requirements

  • 6 months of Customer Service experience
  • Strong communication and empathy skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and tools
  • Knowledge of health plan benefits and regulatory requirements (preferred)
  • Prior experience in healthcare, insurance, or call center environments (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED
