About the role

  • Manage creation and implementation of information security policies, programs, and procedures to protect information and information systems assets
  • Protect against intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, destruction, unauthorized access, reduced or interrupted processing capability, malicious logic or virus activity, loss, theft, damage
  • Design and implement security for big-data environments (Hadoop, Spark) and real-time data pipelines (NiFi, Kafka, Spark Streaming)
  • Process and secure large volumes of data using Hive, Pig, Spark, NiFi, Kafka and Python
  • Collaborate across teams at CVS Health to support healthcare-focused data security initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience designing and implementing capabilities in a Hadoop-based, Spark big data environment
  • 5+ years experience designing and implementing real-time data pipelines using NiFi, Kafka and Spark Streaming
  • 5+ years experience processing large volumes of data with Hive, Pig, Spark, NiFi, Kafka and Python
  • Familiarity with streaming big data applications (Kafka, NiFi, Spark Streaming/Storm)
  • Strong background in Information System Security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with statistical computing techniques and statistics software (e.g. R and Tableau)
  • Experience using source code management systems (e.g. Git)
  • Interest and passion for learning about new technologies
  • Experience processing TBs of data
  • Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
