About the role
- Provide actuarial support for the Aetna Medicaid Behaviorial Health Centers of Excellence
- Support nationwide monitoring of pricing vs. actual benefit expenses
- Build analytic tools and dashboards to aid plan actuaries in determining rate adequacy and promoting rate advocacy
- Perform actuarial functions by applying expanded quantitative skills and analytical methodologies
- Leverage strong technical skills to recommend solutions
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of actuarial concepts and business acumen
- Set own priorities within pre-established overall deadlines
- Complete tasks independently with some direction from supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum 2 SOA actuarial exams passed
- 1+ years of actuarial experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with standard Microsoft Office product suite
- Proficiency in Excel, and some programming experience
- Demonstrates a high level of personal drive, technical acumen, and communication
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations
