About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for effectively communicating product and clinical benefits of Barostim therapy to cardiologists, heart failure/hypertension specialists, and cardiac/vascular surgeons to ensure their understanding of the therapy.
  • Facilitate trainings and other programs on proper application of Barostim therapy to clinicians, office, and hospital staff.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during implant procedures, follow-up procedures, titrations, and patient office visits to ensure positive clinical outcomes.
  • Work with Territory Managers in developing effective plans to communicate the benefits of our technology, tailored to specific markets.
  • Work with Territory Managers, key physicians and site staff in the development and execution of a plan to effectively launch CVRx programs at new customer sites and ensure ongoing commitment to the program.
  • Drive utilization and continuous expansion of Barostim therapy through disease state education and supporting the development of therapeutic programs.
  • Act as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business.
  • Meet with existing and potential health care providers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care, providing creative and feasible solutions.
  • Adheres to sales management processes and reporting systems usage, including maintaining an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce.
  • Provide additional back-up support to other field staff as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with products for cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices; heart failure experience will be prioritized
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with key customer groups and CVRx staff.
  • Ability to master concepts of a medical and surgical nature, as well as that of active implantable medical device technology
  • Independent, self-motivated, self-starter with the drive and persistence to introduce a novel and innovative technology to the market and support it becoming the standard of care
  • Must be detail-oriented, reliable and able to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn Salesforce, content management, learning management, and other systems as needed
