About the role
- Lead and develop a team of 4+ product managers through mentorship, clear expectations, and growth opportunities.
- Set product vision and strategy for key areas of our platform, translating customer needs and company goals into actionable roadmaps.
- Drive clarity and prioritization, helping teams make informed tradeoffs that balance user value, business impact, and technical investment.
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and GTM teams to define and deliver cross-functional initiatives that move core metrics.
- Establish and evolve product rituals (reviews, retros, planning) to promote consistency, alignment, and focus.
- Model data-informed decision making, guiding your PMs to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights in every phase of product development.
- Contribute to org-wide product maturity, helping to define frameworks, standards, and best practices across Customer.io’s growing PM discipline.
- Foster a culture of trust and empowerment, encouraging curiosity, experimentation, and bias for action.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management, including 3+ years managing or mentoring PMs.
- Proven track record leading B2B SaaS or MarTech products with strong data, workflow, or messaging components.
- Demonstrated success driving outcomes through strategy, prioritization, and execution across multiple product areas.
- Strong communicator with experience leading distributed, async-first teams.
- Comfortable operating at multiple altitudes — from vision and frameworks to hands-on roadmap execution.
- Deep empathy for customers paired with analytical rigor to measure and learn from impact.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality product experiences.
