About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform various mechanical, electrical, hydrostatic, and gas leak tests on various components.
  • Install facility-related equipment and operate such equipment on test after setup.
  • Collect and summarize operational data and compare results to specification requirements.
  • Report results and deviations to Test Engineer or Supervisor.
  • Maintain test records and logbook for various tests.
  • Maintain surveillance of operating test equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Perform minor service functions on operating equipment.
  • Operate cranes, fork trucks, or other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of necessary gases and fixtures.
  • Calibrate and zero adjust test instrumentation used in assigned test facilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School graduate with two years of technical school, or the equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience with mechanical or electrical testing.
  • Experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical fields, or equivalent will be considered.
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with and adhering to written work instructions.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
