About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform various mechanical, electrical, hydrostatic, and gas leak tests on various components.
Install facility-related equipment and operate such equipment on test after setup.
Collect and summarize operational data and compare results to specification requirements.
Report results and deviations to Test Engineer or Supervisor.
Maintain test records and logbook for various tests.
Maintain surveillance of operating test equipment and report malfunctions.
Perform minor service functions on operating equipment.
Operate cranes, fork trucks, or other material handling equipment.
Maintain inventory of necessary gases and fixtures.
Calibrate and zero adjust test instrumentation used in assigned test facilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School graduate with two years of technical school, or the equivalent.
3+ years’ experience with mechanical or electrical testing.
Experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical fields, or equivalent will be considered.
Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working with and adhering to written work instructions.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
