💰 $75,000 - $110,000 per year
About the role
- Develop and create models, designs and simulations of electrical motors, generators, exciters and controls utilizing a variety of engineering tools.
- Direct support personnel in product design, analysis, fabrication, and testing.
- Must be comfortable creating simulations using MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape or other Electrical Specialized Power System programs.
- Work will include vector control and tuning for induction motors and drives.
- Create models and drawings, generate and contribute to technical reports, specification requirements, and perform trade studies and design reviews.
- Direct the development and analysis of electric motors, generators, and exciters.
Requirements
- Engineering Bachelor’s degree is required with advanced degrees being highly desired
- Degree in Electrical Engineering discipline is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years engineering experience
- Comfortable using 2D/3D Electromagnetic Finite Element Analysis (EMFEA such as ANSYS Maxwell, or Altair Flux)
- Comfortable using System Modeling (MATLAB Simulink)
- Must be US citizens due to DoD requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
