About the role
- Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to understand technical and project scope
- Assign and manage analytical resources to deliver value-added solutions on-time and within cost
- Foster continuous improvement in processes and methods
- Monitor career progression and ensure appropriate assignments for direct reports
- Provide clear expectations when delegating tasks to analysts
- Actively mentor engineers and ensure knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with engineering management team on manpower assignments and engineering process improvements
Requirements
- US citizenship required due to DoD requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Finite Element Analysis, Structural Analysis, and Transient Thermal and Stress Analysis
- Registered Professional Engineer preferred
- Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a technical team
