About the role

  • Serve as local site and division lead on export compliance activities
  • Apply export control expertise to ensure business operations and transactions comply with laws and regulations
  • Conduct export jurisdiction and export classification determinations
  • Advise if/when export licenses and authorizations are required
  • Collaborate with technical staff to determine schedule B / HTS codes
  • Assist with completing export related forms (end-use statements, requests for foreign procurement approval)
  • Provide guidance on proposed export transactions including hardware shipments & document markings
  • Review proposed edits to export compliance terms & conditions
  • File required reports for DOE Part 810 and other authorized export activities
  • Provide inputs to corporate Global Trade Compliance office for reporting
  • Request export licenses via Global Trade Compliance as required
  • Distribute export license control plans (ACP’s) and provide interpretations
  • Track license validities and shippable quantities remaining
  • Provide contextual history for complex export control activities to corporate office
  • Act as an effective team member with strong interpersonal skills
  • Perform work in accordance with local procedures, CW policies, safety, environmental, and security guidelines
  • Self-motivated with self-directed development goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, or other relevant field
  • Detailed knowledge of export control regulations and compliance
  • Ability to interpret and apply export control laws in a business context
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Minimum of two plus years work experience in export compliance
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Must be US citizen (Due to DoD requirements)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals
  • Preferred/Asset: DOE 10CFR50 Part 810 commercial nuclear technology export controls
  • Preferred/Asset: NRC Part 1110 commercial nuclear hardware export controls
  • Preferred/Asset: Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Preferred/Asset: Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Preferred/Asset: Atomic Energy Act (AEA)
  • Preferred/Asset: Oracle
