Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive manufacturing excellence by leading the development and implementation of welding processes that consistently meet safety, quality, productivity, and business performance objectives.
  • Improve product quality and reliability by applying advanced welding expertise to optimize process parameters, reduce defects, and ensure compliance with product specifications and industry standards.
  • Lead strategic process improvement initiatives by leveraging continuous improvement methodologies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance overall manufacturing performance.
  • Establish and standardize best practices by developing welding standards, procedures, and working methods that improve consistency, repeatability, and operational effectiveness across multiple projects and facilities.
  • Influence critical business and technical decisions by partnering with business leaders, functional teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to align welding strategies with organizational goals.
  • Advance manufacturing capabilities by identifying, evaluating, and implementing new welding technologies, equipment improvements, and innovative processes that strengthen competitive advantage.
  • Lead complex cross-functional projects by coordinating internal and external resources, managing priorities, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful execution of multiple welding-related initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. (3 to 5 years manufacturing quality experience)
  • Welding experience required. (Hands on Laser Welding experience preferred)
