About the role
- The role would involve a mixture of both hands-on assembly and design-based tasks, with focus on learning about how the effects of structural and thermal influences on the Li-ion cell would affect the life and performance.
- Learn how to plan, design, assemble and run experimental tests with Li-ion battery cells in a lab environment.
- Learn about how the structural and thermal impacts affect Li-ion battery life and performance.
- Analyse the experimental or testing data and create reports outlining the key findings and sharing the information in team meetings.
- Learn the basics of how batteries are designed, manufactured, assembled, and validated to meet the applications technical requirements.
- Participate within a team of Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians to enhance our understanding about the challenges and opportunities for Li-ion technology in the electrification of commercial vehicles.
Requirements
- Student studying for a BEng or MEng in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering. Ideally, a student who has completed 2 years of the degree.
- Good work ethic, sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Excellent time management, organizational and teamwork skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power Point.
