Lead with clarity and purpose: set priorities and guide Product Design Technician workflows to move projects forward.
Check models and drawings prior to release to uphold design quality and prevent errors.
Mentor and support designers across experience levels to foster growth and collaboration.
Apply company, industry, national, and international standards to ensure regulatory and performance compliance.
Collaborate with engineering to create concept models and Master CAD designs for product development.
Use CAD tools for configuration control and security to protect design integrity and traceability.
Create assemblies and analyze design adequacy (Dimensional Variation, FEA) to enhance product functionality and fit.
Lead Drawing and Design Reviews and maintain quality standards; manage product baselines and changes from concept to obsolescence.
Produce solid models, bills of materials, and detailed drawings to enable manufacturing and inspection.
Requirements
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
Advanced computer skills are necessary.
Formal education or experience in Statics/Mechanics/Dynamics analysis.
Formal education or experience in Strength of Materials.
Formal education or experience in Thermodynamics.
Formal education or experience in Fluid Dynamics.
Mathematics including Calculus and Differential Equations.
