About the role
- Advance Culmen’s critical mission in Port-au-Prince, Haiti as a Haitian Creole Interpreter
- Promote effective and culturally aware communication between speakers of Haitian Creole and English
- Support individuals who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) by eliminating language barriers
- Deliver precise, comprehensive, and clear interpretations in both directions
- Prioritize strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Record important details of each session, ensuring an organized approach to work
Requirements
- Possesses native-level fluency in both Haitian Creole and English
- Demonstrates relevant professional experience in interpretation and translation
- Exhibits a high degree of cultural sensitivity and an ability to engage effectively with diverse populations
- Consistently displays high emotional intelligence, reliability, and a strong commitment to delivering quality service
- US Citizen (This requirement is necessary to meet the security and eligibility requirements for the performance of this contract)
