Promote effective and culturally aware communication between speakers of Haitian Creole and English
Support individuals who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) by eliminating language barriers
Deliver precise, comprehensive, and clear interpretations in both directions
Prioritize strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Record important details of each session, ensuring an organized approach to work

Requirements

What you’ll need

Possesses native-level fluency in both Haitian Creole and English
Demonstrates relevant professional experience in interpretation and translation
Exhibits a high degree of cultural sensitivity and an ability to engage effectively with diverse populations
Consistently displays high emotional intelligence, reliability, and a strong commitment to delivering quality service
US Citizen (This requirement is necessary to meet the security and eligibility requirements for the performance of this contract)
