About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary on-site software engineering representative supporting Unified Video (UV)
Troubleshoot software, infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues directly within operational environments
Develop site-specific software enhancements, automation scripts, utilities, and custom integrations to meet customer mission requirements
Support Kubernetes-based deployments, containerized applications, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Assist with software installation, upgrades, configuration management, and release deployments
Collaborate with engineering, DevSecOps, operations, and customer personnel to resolve complex technical issues
Develop and maintain automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar scripting technologies
Perform root cause analysis for software and system issues and recommend long-term corrective actions
Document operational procedures, engineering solutions, and customer-specific configurations
Support system demonstrations, customer testing events, and field integration activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering or DevOps experience
Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Top-Secret Security Clearance
Experience developing software using modern programming languages such as Python, Node.js, JavaScript, Java, or C++
Experience administering Linux systems and working with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong troubleshooting skills across software, infrastructure, networking, and deployment environments.
