About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Steer the delivery of automated fare collection and transit payment systems for public transit agencies
- Manage mission-critical infrastructure projects involving software integration and physical deployments
- Lead cross-functional, global teams to deliver ticketing and virtual card systems on time
- Act as primary liaison between technical architects and executive agency stakeholders
- Direct all lifecycle phases of complex system integration projects
- Synchronize workstreams across geographically distributed teams
- Manage stakeholder expectations and progress reviews
- Maintain fiscal oversight of programs exceeding $25M in value
- Identify, track, and mitigate technical risks and deployment variances
- Manage third-party vendors ensuring adherence to KPIs and safety standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive program management experience
- Experience in leading large-scale system integration projects within transit fare collection, electronic payments, tolling, or public infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven mastery of Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks
- Deep proficiency with enterprise scheduling and tracking software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence)
- Demonstrated experience leading matrixed, global teams across multiple time zones
