About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure for EVENTIM’s application and data platforms
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/OpenTofu to ensure consistent, secure, and repeatable deployments
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Operate observability stacks (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure platform reliability and performance
  • Collaborate closely with application, data, and security teams to drive scalability, automation, and compliance
  • Advance containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS)
  • Support incident response and proactive platform improvements

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 5 years of professional hands-on experience with AWS , including EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, VPC and Transit Gateway
  • Proven expertise with Terraform/OpenTofu and IaC principles
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps workflows (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, and cloud security fundamentals
  • Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
  • Scripting proficiency in Bash or Python
  • Strong communication skills and an agile, collaborative mindset in cross-functional teams
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • Nice to have: Experience with ArgoCD, AWS CDK, or serverless architectures
  • Knowledge of cost optimization and FinOps practices on AWS.
