About the role

  • Teach synchronous online courses in Data Analytics via Microsoft Teams
  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement
  • Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies for synchronous online delivery
  • Demonstrate mastery of subject matter and stay current through professional development
  • Maintain accurate student database records for attendance and grades
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, scheduled class hours, and CIAT policies and procedures
  • Promote collaboration with staff and participate in implementation of new projects
  • Deliver engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and support student success
  • Adhere to CIAT business casual attire and employee handbook policies
  • Follow communication guidelines and CIAT compliance requirements
  • May require occasional travel to conduct CIAT business and lifting/moving up to 10-15 pounds

Requirements

  • Must provide official transcripts of bachelor's (or higher) degree (Information Technology Instructors)
  • General Education Instructors must provide official transcripts of bachelor's and master's (or higher) degrees with at least 18 units in the subject
  • Active/current certification on the subject being taught (for IT Instructors)
  • At least three years’ experience in the respective field OR two years of teaching experience
  • Advanced subject matter expertise in areas such as Python, R, SQL, database design, data warehousing, Tableau, Power BI, and analytics methods
  • Synchronous online teaching experience preferred (Microsoft Teams)
  • Effective presentation skills and strong verbal and written communication
  • High level of flexibility, creativity, dependability, and ability to multitask
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning technologies such as Canvas
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate across departments
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and didactic approaches in higher education
  • Must reside in California or New Mexico to perform remote work
