About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement annual and long-range sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue, margin, and market-share targets for the Electrical Division.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of regional sales managers, territory managers, and inside sales support.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with top electrical distributors, contractors, and specifying engineers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management to launch new products and position RectorSeal as the preferred partner in the electrical trades.
  • Own accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Strengthen and expand relationships with key electrical wholesalers and distributors while ensuring alignment with RectorSeal’s broader HVAC/plumbing sales channels.
  • Partner closely with operations, supply chain, R&D, and customer service to ensure exceptional customer experience and on-time delivery.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in the electrical or building products industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior sales leadership role (regional or national level).
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales management experience.
  • Able to travel approximately 40-50% travel required to support field teams, key accounts, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Must reside full-time in the continental US.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed aggressive sales targets and grow revenue in competitive B2B markets.
  • Experience selling through distribution channels is essential.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong understanding of electrical products, codes (NEC), firestop requirements, and contractor/distributor dynamics.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels of an organization, including executives and C-suite.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in CRM, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office.
