About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute a strategic sales plan across the Western/Central US
- Lead prospecting efforts and close high-value service contracts
- Partner with laboratory directors, IT leaders, and QA executives to understand and solve informatics pain points
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through targeted outreach, networking, and CSols’s industry reputation
- Collaborate with technical delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, accurate, and tailored to client needs
- Engage prospects on applied AI trends and demonstrate business value
- Monitor trends across life sciences, chemicals, and food and beverage sectors
- Report directly to the VP of Sales
- Collaborate with delivery experts and peer sales representatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–10 years of proven success in business development or technical sales
- Experience ideally within laboratory informatics or scientific consulting
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Science background such as Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with laboratory informatics systems such as LIMS, ELN, CDS, or analytics is preferred
- Existing industry relationships are a bonus
- Comfortable discussing connected data workflows and AI in modern laboratories
- Ability to articulate business value
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear executive value propositions
- Ability to travel approximately 30% within the assigned territory for client meetings and industry conferences
