Support Engineer

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis processors
• Report to the Assistant Center Manager
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete
• Maintain alertness to any reaction donor may have and notify appropriate staff
• Use Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents during the pheresis process
• Use PDA to link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs
• Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs if applicable
• Maintain clean efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available
• Follow all HSE and OSHA policies and procedures and promote safety
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information
• May be cross-trained in other areas and perform job-related duties as assigned
