About the role
- Collaborate with department managers to create and maintain budgets and forecasts
- Analyze periodic variances to budget and forecast to determine gaps in operational performance
- Aid department managers and executives in financial evaluation of current and new products/projects and service lines
- Financial Analysis including budget/forecast variance analysis, capital expenditure analysis, and personnel analysis
- Assist in the implementation of organizational changes in financial reporting systems
- Accurately and efficiently forecast expenses in associated departments
- Develop key insights for variance and profitability analysis through reports and projections
- Compile monthly/quarterly/annual executive and Board financial reporting and analytics
- Develop and maintain profitability/margin analysis for multiple lines of business using cost allocation methodologies
- Analyze past and current financial data to identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with department managers and finance team on other financial analysis needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least four (4) years of relevant work experience
- Education or job knowledge equivalent to a college or university undergraduate education
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required, with an accounting or finance emphasis preferred
- Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail required
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel or other database skills a plus
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques preferred
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects/priorities
- Proficiency in 3 statement financial models a plus - Balance sheet, P&L and Cash flow
- Experience with SQL queries, Tableau & organizing large datasets
- Experience leading and developing financial models, creating new financial processes, models and tools
- Demonstrated financial and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and/or data interpretation and analysis
