About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track cloud costs against forecast and budget
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through right-sizing, increased elasticity, and cloud commitments (Savings Plans and Reserved Instances)
  • Build detailed forecasts for cloud costs, incorporating growth trends, utilization metrics, and product development needs
  • Develop KPIs and benchmarks to track cost efficiency over time
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to optimize cloud infrastructure and meet budget targets
  • Provide actionable recommendations to leadership on cloud spend trends, anomalies, and risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience implementing cloud cost analytics frameworks
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their pricing models
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and cost analysis
  • Experience with cloud cost management tools (e.g., Apptio, CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer)
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and frameworks
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver with a passion for efficiency and cost management
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve abstract problems
