About the role
- Analyze transactional, financial, and behavioral data to assess risk exposure and detect anomalies
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and predictive models using tools like Python, R, SQL, and Power BI/Tableau
- Apply machine learning techniques to enhance fraud detection, risk scoring, and trend forecasting
- Monitor and refine AI-driven transaction monitoring systems to reduce false positives and improve accuracy
- Conduct investigations into flagged activities, including customer interactions and document reviews
- Collaborate with compliance, product, and engineering teams to implement risk controls and automation
- Document and execute escalations, exceptions, and restricted tasks within assigned authority
- Identify emerging risk trends and contribute to firmwide risk initiatives and special projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Risk Management, or related field is a plus
- 3–5 years of experience in risk analysis, data analytics, or fraud detection
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
- Advanced MS Excel skills and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Ability to analyze, process, and act on big data, preferably experience with AI/ML frameworks
- Understanding of financial systems, compliance standards, and risk frameworks
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
