Project Manager

• Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the management of projects providing coordination to initiate, execute and control projects.

Chief Marketing Officer

• Lead and manage the Marketing Manager and Proposal Manager, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance expectations. Establish a culture of accountability by setting measurable goals, conducting regular evaluations, and addressing underperformance constructively. Align both teams around shared objectives and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Architect and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that drive both near-term wins and long-term growth. Evaluate existing practices and be prepared to make bold, data-informed changes that modernize and strengthen the firm’s marketing infrastructure. Champion innovation and continuous improvement across all marketing and proposal functions.
• Oversee the design and execution of proactive marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, deepen client engagement, and position CSG as a thought leader in the municipal services and AEC sectors. Encourage creative, unconventional outreach approaches—especially in markets where the firm lacks visibility—to generate new leads and expand market presence.
• Direct the proposal development process led by the Proposal Manager, ensuring submissions are strategic, compelling, and aligned with client needs. Provide high-level guidance on positioning, messaging, and content development to maximize win rates and reinforce the firm’s value proposition.
• Partner with senior leadership and business development teams to identify growth opportunities, define target markets, and shape pursuit strategies. Ensure marketing and proposal efforts are tightly aligned with business development goals, and that materials are tailored to resonate with municipal decision-makers. Serve as a strategic connector between marketing, proposal, and service line leaders. Facilitate knowledge sharing, align messaging across departments, and identify opportunities to enhance proposals with marketing insights and vice versa.
• Safeguard the integrity and consistency of the CSG brand across all marketing and proposal outputs. Collaborate with both managers to refine messaging, visual identity, and tone, ensuring a unified and professional presence in the marketplace.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for both marketing and proposal functions. Regularly report on campaign effectiveness, proposal outcomes, and team performance to senior leadership. Use data to refine strategies, reallocate resources, and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the marketing and proposal budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and strong return on investment. Prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable impact and support strategic business goals.

Marketing Director

Engineer

• Perform engineering calculations, and prepare plans, specifications and estimates for construction of public works projects.
• Compile and review engineering data for preparation of reports and studies.
• Perform field measurements and inspections, and record and organize field data.
• Under direction and supervision, perform engineering work for public works projects, ensuring technical competence and compliance with governing regulations.
• Develop and/or maintain database, spreadsheets and reports to monitor performance of engineering design projects.
• Coordinate project activities with project teams, field personnel, utility companies, other consultants, and contractors.
• Roadway Design Only - Maintain knowledge of the latest Caltrans and/or AASHTO design and construction standards and specifications. OR
• Utility Design Only - Maintain knowledge of the latest NASSCO and/or AWWA design and construction specifications. OR
• Structural Design Only – Maintain knowledge of the latest Caltrans Bridge design and construction standards, and California Building Code.
• Assist with project scheduling and budgeting tasks.

Assistant Engineer – As-Needed

Software Engineer

• Assist in preparing plans, estimates and specifications for the construction of public works projects.
• Compile and review engineering data for reports and studies.
• Assist in resolution of engineering problems.
• Perform field measurements and inspections of public works projects.
• Develop and/or maintain databases, spreadsheets and reports to monitor performance of engineering projects.

• Strong understanding of California Building Standards Codes and Referenced Standards.
• Responsible for the technical review of construction documents related to residential, multi-family, and commercial construction.
• Review drawings, calculations, soils reports and other documents for conformance with the requirements of the California Building Standards Codes and Reference Standards.
• Uses engineering judgment to assess the adequacy of a design to address life-safety review, structural review, or other aspects of the code.
• Have a thorough knowledge of construction inspection and plan review protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, construction diagrams, electronic plans, and specifications of projects and evaluate them for compliance with California Building Standards Codes, Reference Standards, and other governing Codes and ordinances.
• Understand design discipline coordination, plan development and writing effective plan check correction notices.
• Exhibit sound judgment reading and interpreting code requirements.
• Ability to suggest alternate forms of compliance with codes & ordinances.
• Supervise Plan Check Engineers.
• Prepare and present effective oral and written reports.
• Develop a working understanding of electronic plan check submittals, review, and various software systems and other applicable management tools.
• Maintain effective working relationships with government agencies, civic organizations, architects, contractors, engineers, and the public.
• Represent the department at internal and external meetings and exhibit sound judgment while representing CSG and its clients.
• Stay current on legal and technical developments pertaining to building construction and codes.
• Function independently as an expert in matters of specialized code, rules, and policy.
• Work towards obtaining and maintaining additional ICC Certifications as related to duties of the position.

Civil Engineer

• Engineering plan review for the construction of private land development projects, including but not limited to grading and drainage, on-site private or public utilities, stormwater management plans, erosion control plans, and construction details for sound engineering practice and conformance with public agency standards.
• Review of hydrology and hydraulic reports, sewer studies, water studies, and stormwater quality management reports for compliance with Regional Water Quality Control Boards’ permitting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with approved tentative maps or other entitlement documents and conditions of approval, and CEQA mitigation measures.
• Engineering plan review for the construction of backbone utility and street infrastructure for large subdivisions throughout California and/or smaller infill redevelopment projects, including but not limited to street improvement plans and profiles, storm drain and sewer systems, and water facilities.
• Engineering plan review of off-site street improvements associated with private land development projects.
• Coordinate project design approval efforts with stakeholders including but not limited to jurisdiction staff, developers, and design consultants.
• Manage contracts and budgets.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development

• Maintain knowledge of the latest Caltrans Bridge design and construction standards, and California Building Code.
• Develop and supervise teams of engineers for the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for construction of public works projects.
• Direct engineering staff to perform complex engineering work for public works projects, ensuring technical competence and compliance with governing regulations.
• Develop and monitor project budget and schedule to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate project activities with all stakeholders including but not limited to the project team, field personnel, agency staff, utility companies, other consultants and contractors.
• May maintain knowledge of the latest Caltrans and/or AASHTO design and construction standards and specifications.
• Work closely with clients and project teams.

Senior Civil Engineer – Structural Design, Bridge

Analyst

• Support Project Managers with appropriate research information in order to respond to project documentation requirements
• Ensure requirements of CEQA are met by completing analysis and documentation within specific guidelines
• Gain practical knowledge of the environmental consulting industry
• Provide assistance to Project Managers in the preparation, organization and production of CEQA documents
• Incorporate sub-consultant reports and personal research and knowledge into appropriate sections of environmental documents
• Communicate with various jurisdictions, agencies and sub-consultants to collect and verify information
• Conduct field studies and land use surveys
