Business Analyst

• Provide expert-level support for financial reconciliation, reporting, and analysis using the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL)
• Prepare, review, and validate Journal Vouchers (JVs) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Department of War financial policies and regulations
• Apply expertise in the Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) to ensure proper classification and traceability of financial data
• Analyze and resolve Treasury Tie-Point discrepancies between feeder systems and the general ledger to ensure consistency across enterprise reporting
• Identify, investigate, and remediate abnormal balances in accordance with Department of War financial guidance
• Interpret and apply posting logic to ensure accurate transaction processing and alignment between financial systems
• Support audit readiness and financial improvement initiatives led by the Office of the Undersecretary of War, including documentation, testing, and corrective action plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including financial managers, system owners, and auditors, to strengthen internal controls and financial processes
• Provide recommendations to enhance data governance, standardization, and compliance across Department of War financial operations
