About the role
- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of technical trainers located in different facilities, setting performance goals and fostering professional development
- Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive technical training strategy for the entire company, including standardized curriculum and structured learning paths
- Lead development and execution of onboarding programs for new hires and upskilling programs for existing workforce in areas such as electrical wiring, equipment operation, and quality control
- Supervise development of training materials (video tutorials, written manuals, hands-on exercises) ensuring consistency and quality across facilities
- Implement and manage assessment and certification systems for employee competency and internal mobility
- Collaborate with senior leadership, department managers, and engineers to identify skill gaps and align training with business objectives
- Use data and performance metrics to measure training effectiveness and report impact on productivity, quality, and safety to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role, with direct experience supervising a team
- At least 7+ years of combined experience in a manufacturing environment and a dedicated training role
- Experience with fabrication, electrical assembly, or a related field
- Ability to think beyond day-to-day training tasks and develop a scalable, long-term training strategy
- Experience designing and implementing comprehensive training curricula for a large and diverse workforce
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to and influence both factory floor staff and senior leadership
- Ability to identify systemic training challenges and develop effective, data-driven solutions
- (Bonus) Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, engineering, or education field
- (Bonus) Professional certifications in training and development (e.g., CTT+)
- (Bonus) Experience managing a multi-site training program
- (Bonus) Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning content creation
