About the role
- Manage full lifecycle of power generation projects including engineering execution, construction, completions, commissioning, and turnover
- Develop and execute detailed project plans: timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation
- Monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement change management to finish on time and within budget
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams; ensure clear communication, responsibilities, and accountability
- Direct design, specification, and engineering of power generation projects with focus on constructability and compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations
- Oversee field construction, coordinating contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders while maintaining schedules
- Lead completions, commissioning, and turnover activities to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure
- Oversee vendor procurement, delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing at domestic and international field sites
- Serve as primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and internal teams; manage contractor agreements to ensure adherence to commercial terms
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of demonstrable project management experience on large-scale projects (>$100MM); 10+ years preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of power generation technologies
- Strong background in construction execution and project management methodologies
- Proven experience in industrial environments; preference for power generation and oil & gas sectors
- Expertise in planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, risk management, change management, and stakeholder communication
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional project teams; strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Flexibility to travel up to 25% to field sites
- Must pass background check; role is safety-sensitive with drug and alcohol program participation required
- PMP certification (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and experience with gas turbine power generation (preferred)
- Familiarity with construction inspection requirements and best practices (preferred)
