About the role

  • Help design and scale Crusoe Cloud, a carbon-reducing cloud computing platform for AI workloads
  • Collaborate closely with customer success and product teams to understand the "why" behind products
  • Evaluate new tools and frameworks for reliability, scalability, cost, and ease of adoption
  • Advocate for forward-thinking architecture and solutions to reduce duplication and increase efficiency
  • Contribute code, write technical architecture documents, and review merge requests
  • Develop and refine technical assessments to aid hiring and mentor other engineers, partnering with engineering managers

Requirements

  • Ability to act as a mentor for junior engineers, providing guidance on design proposals and conducting thorough code reviews to ensure quality
  • A passion for leading by example and fostering an environment of innovation and high-quality software engineering practices
  • Experience with a wide range of tools and technologies, and the ability to evaluate them for reliability, scalability, operational costs, and other key factors
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across different teams to achieve shared goals and optimize the customer experience
  • Experience designing and scaling cloud computing platforms, particularly for AI workload management (implied)
  • Ability to contribute code, write technical architecture documents, and review merge requests
  • Experience developing and refining technical and team fit assessments and mentoring engineers
