Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise a unit comprised of Claim Specialists that handle claims
Monitor claims trends and report on identified trends to department leadership.
Ensure claims handling is consistent with Crum & Forster’s best practices.
Work with various departments to address claims cost impacts.
Provide technical support to the claims specialists.
Review legal decisions and maintain an efficient claims staff.
Identify coverage issues and approve case reserve recommendations.
Recruit and mentor staff, ensuring alignment with department objectives.
Meet with customers to discuss claims capabilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
8+ years of experience, preferably in a WC Claims Supervisory and/or Management position.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs and Lotus Notes software applications.
Some travel required.
