About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare all deposited checks for entry into the accounting system
  • Process premium refunds, claims refund deposits, and commission refunds/payments
  • Run and maintain monthly claims and commission registers
  • Process claims and commission checks/ACHs and ensure accurate tracking of outstanding items
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding commissions, claims, and other outgoing premium items
  • Support new business onboarding for producers/brokers, including OFAC reporting
  • Maintain premium journal notes and client contact cheat sheets
  • Assist with reconciliation research as needed
  • Support the Lead with workflow execution during peak periods or complex cases
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in premium accounting or related finance role
  • Proficiency in MS Office and premium accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem ‑ solving skills, particularly in resolving discrepancies
  • Excellent organizational and time ‑ management abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for partner interactions and cross ‑ functional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining accuracy
  • A proactive, business ‑ focused mindset and commitment to service excellence
  • High ethical standards and professional conduct.
