About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and improve backend data workflows, recurring data processes, and reporting infrastructure used by the team
- Build and maintain automation tools to improve data preparation, reporting support, and workflow efficiency
- Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes, and help implement sustainable fixes and controls
- Document data sources, transformation logic, validation checks, and workflow steps to improve maintainability and continuity
- Support productionized data workflows by helping manage updates, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining operational stability
- Follow structured practices around version control, testing, documentation, and change management to support reliable data processes
- Partner with team members and stakeholders to translate business needs into practical data solutions
- Provide reporting and dashboard data support as needed, in partnership with BI-focused team members
- Implement and assess predictive models to support broad functional areas across the division
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data operations, analytics engineering, reporting infrastructure, or a related role
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Proficient in Python for scripting, data processing, or workflow automation
- Experience with data transformation, validation, ETL workflows, and repeatable backend processes
- Familiarity with version control tools and collaborative development practices
- Familiarity with structured development lifecycle processes, including testing, documentation, and controlled deployment of data workflows
- Experience with predictive analytics/ML models is a plus
- Experience working in a regulated environment with established controls and documentation standards is a plus
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI is a plus
