Create and maintain profitability analyses and reviews for employer stop loss business
Analyze stop loss program experience and develop appropriate corrective actions
Create analyses for underwriters and senior management in support of new and existing programs
Assist in the due diligence of potential new programs
Create, maintain and update existing experience analysis tools and models
Develop rating support and memorandums for submission to state Department of Insurance
Produce rating and portfolio management tools for underwriters
Assist in the preparation of monthly reserve reviews
Work closely with stop loss business leaders to support all actuarial aspects

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience required
At least 15+ years of Actuarial experience
At least 5+ years of Employer Stop Loss experience at a carrier or reinsurer
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) desired.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Access, and some programming skills (SQL, SAS, VBA)
Ability to travel (20-30%)
