About the role

  • Engage with clients to promote C&F’s capabilities while displaying a culture of proactive safety management.
  • Strong knowledge of telematics systems and assist clients with implementation, monitoring and reporting.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for clients, identifying potential hazards and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on best practices for fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, driver training, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to analyze loss data and identify trends, providing insights to improve risk selection and pricing.
  • Conduct on-site surveys and audits of client fleets to assess risk exposures and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and presentations for clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Work closely with underwriting, data science, and the actuarial team to steer improvements within the customer base.
  • Stay current with industry trends/news and communicate the information with key stakeholders.
  • Develop strong working relationships with colleagues including senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience preferred, either insurance or transportation industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk assessment techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements related to commercial auto fleets.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, time management and organizational capabilities with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Strong work ethic, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Professional certifications such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are appreciated but not required.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 40%, to conduct on-site surveys and client meetings.
