About the role
- Engage with clients to promote C&F’s capabilities while displaying a culture of proactive safety management.
- Strong knowledge of telematics systems and assist clients with implementation, monitoring and reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for clients, identifying potential hazards and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on best practices for fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, driver training, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to analyze loss data and identify trends, providing insights to improve risk selection and pricing.
- Conduct on-site surveys and audits of client fleets to assess risk exposures and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and presentations for clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Work closely with underwriting, data science, and the actuarial team to steer improvements within the customer base.
- Stay current with industry trends/news and communicate the information with key stakeholders.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues including senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience preferred, either insurance or transportation industries.
- In-depth knowledge of risk assessment techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements related to commercial auto fleets.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, time management and organizational capabilities with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to multitask and function in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Strong work ethic, communication and negotiation skills.
- Professional certifications such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are appreciated but not required.
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 40%, to conduct on-site surveys and client meetings.
