About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and improve processes throughout the operational areas
Designing of new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems
Purchasing and overseeing equipment installation
Work cross-functionally in manufacturing and assembly areas
Engage with other teams as per project requirements
Lead, support, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers
Set and review objectives aligned with operational goals
Design and implement new systems, equipment, and processes to support product introduction
Support DfM/DfA activities
Lead equipment reviews and tenders
Liaise with suppliers and customers
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
Develop and maintain PFMEA, manage budgets, and performance data in collaboration with finance
Work closely with R&D to ensure products are ready for manufacture
Develop automated and manual systems, test processes, and champion change management
Consistently promote SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) and improve efficiency, quality, and speed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Candidates must hold, as a minimum, a degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar engineering role
Proven project management skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Proficiency in CAD, including both 2D and 3D systems, ideally AutoCAD and Siemens NX
Formal training in Six Sigma would be advantageous, although not essential
Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in discrete part manufacture and assembly
Knowledge of can making equipment is advantageous but not essential
