About the role

  • Oversee Crown Roofing IT systems, infrastructure, and digital strategy, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable technology to support operations across Europe.
  • Focus on strategic IT management, cybersecurity, risk management, AI adoption, vendor oversight, compliance, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with Crown’s business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, and efficiency gains.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring Crown remains competitive in a high-tech, mission-critical sector.
  • Develop and lead Crown’s AI strategy, promoting AI awareness and education within the business.
  • Act as the main liaison with Radius IT helpdesk and other IT suppliers.
  • Oversee IT contracts, licenses, renewals, and procurement with administrative support.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and integration of core systems (ERP, project management tools, HR & compliance systems).
  • Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensuring compliance with GDPR and IT security policies.
  • Define and monitor IT performance KPIs, collaborate with the COO for reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT and cybersecurity management, ideally in construction, engineering, or a multi-site / multi-country organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud solutions (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Experience managing vendors and outsourced IT support.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, IT risk management, and compliance (GDPR).
  • Experience creating IT policies, including onboarding/offboarding procedures.
  • Experience developing KPIs and producing leadership/Board-level reports.
  • Interest and experience in AI tools, digital transformation, and staff education around emerging technologies.
  • Absolute discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive business information. Demonstrated track record of confidentiality in prior roles. Willingness to sign and adhere to NDA requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP and project management systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance and data management in the construction sector.
  • Experience supporting rapid business growth and international expansion.
