About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in architecture and design reviews across infrastructure, platform engineering, and integration initiatives
- Contribute technical analysis, identify risks, and support implementation of approved patterns
- Develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure-as-code modules and templates using Terraform, networking standards, and multi-account structures
- Implement and operate on-premises and multi-region cloud networking architectures, including Transit Gateway, centralized inspection VPC models, multi-account VPC patterns, and hybrid connectivity
- Support cloud migration and data center exit programs
- Contribute to cutover planning, own discrete infrastructure delivery workstreams, and coordinate across engineering and compliance stakeholders
- Create enablement resources and documentation to help engineering teams adopt cloud-native and infrastructure-as-code-driven operating models
- Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to engineering peers and team leads
- Escalate issues requiring broader architectural input
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leveraging AI technologies to improve workflows, accelerate troubleshooting, and drive operational efficiency
- 5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or network engineering, with demonstrated growth in scope and technical depth
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including Transit Gateway, VPCs, multi-account patterns, IAM, and Network Firewall
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI/CD
- Familiarity with architecture review or governance processes
- Solid background in cloud networking, including multi-region connectivity, network segmentation, inspection architectures, and hybrid/on-premises integration
- Experience contributing to cloud migration or data center consolidation efforts, including infrastructure-as-code delivery and compliance-aware design
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with technical peers and cross-functional partners
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
- Experience with network monitoring and observability
- Exposure to PCI, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks
- Hands-on familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD, Helm, or Octopus Deploy for Kubernetes-based workload delivery
- Active or lapsed Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or AWS certifications demonstrating foundational infrastructure depth
- Familiarity with AI/LLM platform infrastructure patterns, including traffic routing, access governance, or API management
- Background in MSP or multi-tenant IT environments with exposure to a broad range of industries and infrastructure patterns
- Experience developing and migrating to Datadog as an observability platform
