About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end validation of AIDR services across cloud-side backend and UI layers, spanning component, integration, and application levels
Build and own AIDR-specific test tooling and frameworks while contributing to shared organization-wide testing infrastructure
Define and drive functional, performance, contract, and chaos/resilience testing strategies
Verify processing, data, and customer-facing application layers for reliability, accuracy, and performance at scale
Participate in code and design reviews focused on quality, testability, security, and code hygiene
Review technical design documents and requirements and guide where to build in testability
Improve service observability and monitoring, perform root cause analysis, and implement quality improvements
Increase automated test coverage across backend services and UI applications
Mentor team members on testing methodologies, secure coding practices, and quality engineering
Leverage open source solutions and AI-powered tools to build innovative testing approaches

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience as an SDET or Backend/UI Developer (combined)
3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud SaaS product or similar SOA
Experience contributing to or defining testing strategy at team or organizational level
Strong debugging skills, including identifying design flaws, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks in complex distributed architectures
Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems
Expertise in at least one of Golang, Python, or Java; Go is the primary backend language
Experience with cloud distributed systems technologies such as Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or similar; transferable skills in each category required
Experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI cloud services, particularly compute and storage
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
Experience developing and deploying in containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes
Extensive experience with testing tools such as Jest, QUnit, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, or TestNG
Experience testing REST and/or gRPC APIs and real-time or high-volume data systems
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
Strong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills across engineering organizations
Experience mentoring engineers and driving quality culture
Cybersecurity or security-focused product experience is a bonus
Experience with AI/ML security challenges, low-latency cloud services, event-driven messaging, UI testing, data visualization testing, accessibility validation, performance optimization, chaos engineering, OCI/GCP/Azure, and AI agentic tools are bonus qualifications
