About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure and platform services underpinning CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem
  • Deploy, configure, and administer Airflow and Superset in production environments
  • Manage infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments
  • Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards
  • Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata
  • Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be eligible for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience
  • Advanced Python programming with 5+ years of experience
  • Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration
  • Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms
  • Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI, including IAM, networking, and managed services
  • Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency
  • Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production
  • Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata
  • SQL and data modeling expertise
  • Experience with data security and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
  • Must periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint checks consistent with government customer requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is a bonus point
  • Experience with cybersecurity data is a bonus point
  • Contributions to open-source projects are a bonus point
  • Knowledge of machine learning pipelines is a bonus point
