About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure and platform services underpinning CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem
Deploy, configure, and administer Airflow and Superset in production environments
Manage infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments
Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards
Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata
Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be eligible for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience
Advanced Python programming with 5+ years of experience
Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration
Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms
Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI, including IAM, networking, and managed services
Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency
Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production
Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata
SQL and data modeling expertise
Experience with data security and compliance requirements
Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
Must periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint checks consistent with government customer requirements
Master's degree in a relevant field is a bonus point
Experience with cybersecurity data is a bonus point
Contributions to open-source projects are a bonus point
Knowledge of machine learning pipelines is a bonus point
