About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write secure and maintainable code that powers one of CrowdStrike’s flagship products
- Collaborate with others across multiple teams to brainstorm, research, and build solutions that are driven by our Product roadmap
- Build, maintain, and improve backend microservices written in Golang
- Launch and support features that will be used by millions of users around the world
- Understand business and engineering requirements so that you can be proactive in sharing ideas and solutions
- Constantly be aware of our customers and keep them front of mind while planning and releasing features
- Have a strong focus on quality of code through best practices, testing, logging and metrics
- Have the autonomy to own your work in a high trust environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 7+ years of overall software engineering experience
- A minimum of 3+ years in Golang, Kafka, Cassandra, or similar
- Production-level experience in building, delivering, and maintaining systems at scale
- Expertise in distributed systems, mirco-service architectures, multi-region architectures, software development best practices, observability and reliability engineering
- Expertise in scalability such as queues, concurrency, sharding, partitioning, etc.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cloud code or similar platforms
- Proven ability to integrate AI into daily workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes
- Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible usage practices
- A thorough understanding of engineering best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture
- Multiple years of experience debugging complex issues at every level of the stack
- The ability to work independently, but also collaboratively
