About the role

  • Lead a multi disciplinary team (backend, frontend, SDET, etc.) to drive and deliver on both roadmap and technical strategy
  • Hire, retain, and grow a team of engineers
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, support, and sales engineering teams
  • Be hands-on and deliver high-quality software
  • Ensure delivery and create an engaging environment for engineers
  • Operate in a high fidelity, high trust environment

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager
  • 8+ years as a software engineer
  • Experience working with authentication and authorization services
  • Experience in Golang or similar technologies
  • Experience with shipping high-quality software in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in building and maintaining large distributed systems at scale
  • Solid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance
  • Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and velocity
  • Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive staff to junior engineers
  • Ability and desire to be hands on as well as leading the team and collaborating cross functionally
