About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Non-Funded Support Team
  • Oversee daily responsibilities to ensure the timely review and approval of disposition requests and compliance support cases related to the NFST team
  • Play a key role as a stakeholder for audits, examinations, and compliance inquiries related to ECOA, FCRA, and adverse action regulations
  • Participate in the Risk Management lifecycle by creating, updating, and managing tickets in JIRA, conducting research, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, UAT, and post-implementation validation testing
  • Provide oversight to all LOS pipelines to ensure correct disposition and folder placement
  • Ensure files are dispositioned in a timely manner when applicable
  • Build and maintain mechanisms to manage the timing of key events related to ECOA compliance
  • Act as the primary point of contact for implementation of new products/LOS; conduct testing to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Operate as a key stakeholder for exam/audit/monitoring for inquiries related to ECOA, FCRA, and adverse action by drafting narratives and creating data sets
  • Ensure notice of adverse action/incompleteness meet regulatory compliance requirements
  • Act as a policy and procedure subject matter expert related to ECOA, FCRA, and adverse action
  • Manage compliance support cases related to Non-Funded Support Team (NFST)
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-implementation validation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a compliance and/or risk role
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing teams, including reviewing and approving team outputs
  • Experience in creating and analyzing data sets for audits and regulatory compliance
  • Experience acting as a key stakeholder for audits, exams, and compliance inquiries
  • Working knowledge of JIRA
  • Working knowledge of ECOA (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), FRCA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), adverse action regulations, and policies and procedures related
  • Familiarity with applicable LOS; including but not limited to: Encompass, NFTYDoor, Figure, and Quantum Reverse
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and time management skills
