About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply your strategic and analytical skills as Chief of Staff to the National Private Equity Practice Leader (PL).
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and drive strategy and operational processes.
  • Balance between operations, project and process management, change management, execution, and strategy.
  • Responsibility for enabling leadership to be as effective as possible in driving the strategy for the PE Practice.
  • Serve as a fully aligned strategic partner to the Private Equity PL.
  • Leverage the PL to be in the market by keeping the engine running and all wheels turning in the same direction.
  • Drive and support strategic initiatives specific to the PE practice, coordinate with and support Local Service Line Leaders (LSLLs).
  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly agendas, materials, and facilitation for various audiences.
  • Connect staffing, recruiting, finance, and pipeline to drive workforce efficiency.
  • Increase connectivity between Marketing and the PE practice.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a professional services or finance-focused landscape; prior exposure to private equity clients or PE-adjacent environments is a plus.
  • High-quality professional presentation skills, including excellent writing and public speaking capabilities; ability to project a professional demeanor at all times to stakeholders of all levels. Open and honest communicator with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate independently without close supervision; ability to call out challenges and recommend solutions. Strong understanding of priorities and adherence to deadlines.
  • Superior proficiency in standard PC programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enable workflow (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT).
  • Ability to work constructively and flexibly in a team environment, and to support and guide leadership strategy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, and a great sense of humor.
  • Experience working with professional services or consulting firms.
  • Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
  • Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
