About the role
- Bring a diligence mindset to build innovative solutions for clients leveraging data for performance analytics and insights in M&A, divestitures, carve-outs, and exit preparedness
- Utilize core accounting and financial due diligence skills to ensure data is reconciled and built at the transaction-level leading to supportable and auditable performance metrics
- Provide strategic counsel to corporate and private equity leaders and influence key decision-makers
- Perform data extraction, transformation, modeling, data visualization, benchmarking, and descriptive and predictive analyses
- Generate compelling insights by analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in large and intricate data sets
- Lead high-performing teams in data analytics, consulting, and/or private equity; coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Cultivate new client relationships and deepen existing ones; conduct client interviews and analyze current/future state gaps
- Develop practical analytics roadmaps, aid clients in implementing initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement of the practice
- Develop and support thought leadership and intellectual capital
- Suggest methods and leverage tools to automate end-to-end client processes from data extraction and preparation to reporting
- Contribute to creation of forecasting and predictive analytics models
- Lead data-driven discussions in management meetings and translate complex data findings into clear strategic recommendations for clients and internal deal teams
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of total relevant experience involving a combination of financial due diligence for transaction services and data analytics
- Extensive ability and proven skills in data processing tools such as Alteryx, PowerQuery, Excel, SQL, Python
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
- Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills
- Experience in SaaS, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, Consumer Products, Retail and/or Professional Services industries
- Experience in functional areas like supply chain, operations, and corporate finance
- Experience with advanced analytical methods, including statistical pricing studies, customer lifetime value analyses, customer persistency/retention analyses, geospatial analyses, and statistical clustering analyses
- Demonstrated interest in consulting and experience working in a fast-paced mergers and acquisitions environment
- Experience mentoring junior team members and assisting project teams in resolving complex and multi-faceted issues
- Experience in business integrations, divestitures, or carve-outs including quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Transactions experience focused on quality of earnings, net working capital, and cash flows
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- Flexibility and willingness to travel based on client preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar discipline (CA / CIMA / CFA / MBA preferred)
- Certification in Databricks / Snowflake / Alteryx / PowerBI / Tableau preferred
