About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and lead the long-term vision for the Women’s footwear business, identifying growth opportunities across categories, occasions and consumers that expand the Brand beyond current product assortment.
- Translate consumer insights, trend intelligence, competitive analysis and marketplace data into actionable category strategies that identify white space, and strengthen product positioning.
- Partner closely with the VP of Category Management & Merchandising to shape seasonal and long-term product strategies, ensuring clear priorities are established and effectively cascaded across the broader team.
- Lead end-to-end product creation lifecycle across multiple product tracks ensuring each initiative has a clear purpose, consumer need and commercial opportunity.
- Own category performance by closely monitoring sales, margin, productivity and consumer trends making informed decisions to capitalize on opportunities, mitigate risks and react with speed.
- Serve as the category lead within the cross-functional product creation process, driving alignment, decision making, and executional clarity across Design, Development, Marketing, Merchandising and Planning to ensure the Women’s product strategy comes to life with excellence.
- Drive a multi-category Women’s offense that creates dimension across the portfolio balancing innovation, product evolution, newness and productivity.
- Build scalable and repeatable processes that improve speed, efficiency, and clarity across the production creation lifecycle.
- Challenge conventional thinking and bring a test and learn mindset using curiosity, agility, and strong judgment to move quickly in a fast paced environment.
- Lead, coach and develop team members creating a high performing team culture built on accountability, ownership, collaboration and growth.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of product or category management experience, preferably within casual or sport lifestyle footwear.
- 5+ years of people management experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and inspire teams.
- Proven track record of success within globally recognized footwear or consumer brands.
- Strong business acumen with experience driving seasonal line plans, revenue, and margin performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a bias for action and agility.
- Ability and willingness to travel globally as needed.
